About us
In short? We're a group of young people who experienced first-hand how hard it is to find a place to live after moving to a new city to study or work. And we decided to turn it into something useful. For everyone.
Our story
It all started in Bologna, with two roommates and a lot of problems. We were looking for a home, but above all we were looking for people to live well with. Spoiler: it wasn't easy. Between copy-paste listings, living with people we didn't choose and everyday problems, we said to ourselves: “Is there really no simpler, more human way to find each other?” That's how Rumix was born. An independent project, grown thanks to our experience, our skills and the desire to change things, one room at a time. With one strong belief: a home isn't just a roof and four walls but, above all, the people who live in it.
Our manifesto
Finding a home isn't just signing a contract. It's moving a piece of your life. It's choosing where to put the mugs, who to say good morning to, and who to ask “will you make the coffee?” We at Rumix know this. Because we've been there. Because we got lost, got worn out, learned to adapt. But then we understood something simple: it's not just about the room. It's about who you share those four walls with. That's where Rumix comes from. From the desire to make looking for a home more human. From the idea that compatibility isn't just a dating-app word. But an essential condition for truly living together. We offer you technology that knows what you want. That filters by affinity, not just by price. That makes your life simpler, but doesn't take away your right to choose well. We want to change the way people find a shared home. To make it a calmer, more mindful experience, within everyone's reach. Made of compatible people. Of stories that begin with “hi” and don't end with “I'm leaving the group”.
